About
Karen Kellers
Karen Kellers has recorded Two independent CDs and one EP thru the years. Her newest material is her strongest yet. She has lent her talents to benefit community charities by being a founding member of the Note by Note Song Share, a group of talented musicians performing together for supply raisers. Among them are Island Harvest and Almost Home Pet Rescue. She can be heard performing at TwoMorrows Pub main street Patchogue her home town, the first Friday of each month.
Karen has always had an intense love of music and spent innumerable hours listening to all the great popular songs of the 60's pop charts, on thru to the 70's. Especially loved the Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach Hal David classics
She also loved Dan Fogelberg's music and credits him with influencing her style.
In case one should wonder what she did all the years prior to publicly performing, which she only started to do two years ago, she worked as a Conductor for the Long Island Rail Road. So perhaps some of you may recognize her from your commute to Manhattan. For better or worse, she found the rail road career quite an education in compassion and patience.
She has a BA in Psychology from Stony Brook University and has found people and relationships the subject of many of her songs.
